Konica make KTS Sulzer Let-off Conversion System:
The mechanical types of let-offs are most frequently used and are combinations of clutches and brakes. Due to contamination and wear of these mechanical parts, there can be a high degree of irregularities in density, particularly with high speed weaving machines. Where conventional let-offs do not satisfy the ever increasing demand, the electronically controlled let-off becomes a necessity.

KTS Sulzer Letoff is a Warp Let-off System with frequency converter, which is intended for letting off from warp beam or feeding unit. During this operation, the warp tension is kept constant. The drive is mounted either on the weaving machine or on a frame positioned behind the weaving machine.

The let-off starts with a machine running signal; the speed of the let-off motor is controlled by a Linear proximity switch or original Sensor mounted on the whip roller system and an internal speed memory. An alarm signal switches the weaving machine off in case of over tightened warp or any other error.
